Health Ministry 2015

   Family & Health

It's a Balance

Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1Corinthians 6:19

v  Healthy children are more likely to become healthy adults. Be a role model and help your kids make safe and healthy choices every day.

v  Buckle up every age, every seat, and every trip.

v  Put on a helmet during outdoor activities, like riding bikes and skating.

v  Put on sunscreen, dark and fair skin needs protection from the sun.

v  Brush and floss teeth regularly.

v  Wash hands with running water and apply soap.  Rub hands for at least 20 seconds (sing the A-B-C song), then rinse.

v  Be active with your kids.  Children and adolescents need a total of 60 minutes of physical activity every day.

v  Be smoke-free, and protect your children from second hand smoke.

v  Get a flu vaccine, i.e., everyone needs a flu vaccine – every flu season.

Be a healthy role model. Show your child what it means to be healthy and glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
