Healthy Eating - Simple For Summer....

Eating healthy gives your body the nutrients it needs daily while staying within your daily calorie goal for weight loss or maintenance. It will also lower your risk for heart disease and other health conditions.

A Healthy Eating Plan:

V  Eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, salads and fat-free or low-fat dairy products

V  Include lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, and nuts

V  Limit saturated and trans-fats, sodium, and added sugars

V  Control portion sizes

Calories - Less In...

To lose weight, decrease the number of calories from food and drinks - Energy IN, and increase physical activity & exercise - Energy OUT.

To lose 11 pounds per week, daily intake should be reduced by 500 to 750 calories.

Avoid crash diets and work towards healthy eating choices and smaller portion sizes.
