2013 Tri-State Certificate of Excellent Winner

2014 Carnegie Hall Performance

Eongue Ekille, a 9th grader at Minerva Deland, for her outstanding performance at Carnegie Hall as a winner of the 2013 Tri State Certificate of Excellent, an exceptional distinction. Her receiving this award was a direct result of her hard work, dedication, talent and perseverance. The Recital was presented by the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program. This program provides a national standard of musical achievement for people of all ages studying music privately in the US for levels 1-10.

12th Grade Program

Mount Olivet sponsors a program for our high school seniors who upon graduation plan to go to college, join the military forces, or enter the world of work. Enrichment seminars to help prepare seniors for their future journey are offered. Participants will be informed of the criteria for Mount Olivet's scholarship.  If you are graduating in June or August 2014, don't miss out on this opportunity.

Mt. Olivet Baptist Church

Due May 1, 2014


Any high school senior who has been actively involved with Mount Olivet for at least two years since grade 8,  is encouraged to apply.  Actively involved means regularly attending Worship Services and participating in activities, e.g., AB Girls, Boy Scouts, Youth Choir, Audio-Visual Ministry, Youth Usher Board, Youth Sunday, Liturgical Dance, Bible Study, Audio-Visual Ministry, etc.

Each graduate will receive a minimum of $1,000.00. There are two additional scholarships that will be awarded in the amount of $250.00 each. One is for the senior with the highest GPA. The other is the Regina Alexander Award, which will go to one senior who meets the characteristics and Christian behavior exemplified and espoused by Mrs. Alexander.

The completed application package is due by Tuesday, May 1, 2014. No Application will be accepted after this date, May 1st.  An interview with the Scholarship Committee is required.

The Scholarship Award announcements will be made during the Sunday morning worship service as part of the Baccalaureate Program on June 1st.

Mt. Olivet Partners with School 20 to help students succeed in school by providing In-School Tutoring in reading, writing, and math under the guidance of School 20 teachers with support from Free Partnerships.
