Food Pantry Item of the Week - Brown or White Rice
Worship Services returned to regular worship time today, Sunday, Sept. 15th , at 10:45 am. The Food Pantry Ministry will reopen on Monday, September 9th. Youth Choir Rehearsal will resume in September. Youth Academy will resume in October . We Need Teachers! Please consider helping our youth grow spiritually by teaching them about God’s Word. Mt. Olivet Youth and Parents - The Youth of Mt. Olivet are invited to participate in various Youth Activies and the Parents are asked to volunteer to help our youth grow in their relationship with God. There are various Youth Ministries Activities where you can become involved. Sign-up at the Youth Table after service or see any member of the Youth Core Team: David Cowens, Juliette Rhodes- Cummings, Jackie Gainey, Ivena Grantham, Clara Hunter, Irene Ingram, Cheryl Lattimore, Teshia McCloud, Valerie Medley, Venessa Mitchell, Pam Williams Mark your calendars for the upcoming Usher’s Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, September 15th at 4:00 pm . The entire church is invited. We hope you will join us as we celebrate along with Ushers from the community. The keynote speaker will be Rev. Paula Blue from Memorial AME Zion Church. For more information, see any Mt Olivet Usher. Greater Harvest Church 5th Anniversary Celebration banquet will be held on Sunday, September 15th at the Rochester Holiday Inn. Ticket prices are $60 per person. The cutoff date for purchase is August   30,   2019 . Limited tickets are available. All checks payable to Greater Harvest Church. Please see Marilyn in the office for tickets. The Board of Christian Education will be hosting a Children’s Breakfast on the 22nd of September in the lower level dining area f rom 8:45-9:45 AM. Ms. Marilyn Haile-Rainey will be available after   service on the 15th of September for you to sign your children up. This time will also serve as an informational session for future activities for our children. The 6th Annual Multidisciplinary City Wide Breast Cancer Seminar will be Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Locust Hill Country Club, 5PM to 9:15PM. The seminar will continue to cover the Multidisciplinary approach to the care of the Breast Cancer patient, which includes; Radiation, Surgery, Oncology, Imaging, Positive mindset, Spirituality, Nutrition, Exercise, Obesity, and the Whole You! Drs. Ruby and Douglas Belton are co-founders. The cost for community church groups and other laypersons is $25. Cost for MDs and all other health care professionals is $50. Please see Dr. Mary K. You can participate by contributing to our team to support research. You can walk with us on October 12th at Frontier Field. You can ask church members, friends, family and colleagues to partici-pate. Contributions can be made at http://act.alz.org/goto/TeamMOBCalz . Our Alzheimer’s Ambassadors will be around to collect    your    donations and a table will be available    to take    your contributions after church every Sunday until the walk. Checks   should   be   made   out   to Alzheimer’s Association ’. See Lois Norman and Valerie Nguessamble to sign-up! Members Needed - The   MOBC   Food   Pantry   Ministry is in need of willing workers to join the Ministry. If you are looking for ways to serve the Lord outside of Sunday morning services, consider joining the F ood P antry M inistry. We need people who can help in a variety of ways, i.e.: lifting, shopping, serving, record keeping, organizing, etc. If you are retired, or have time, the Pantry hours are Monday's, 9:00 AM - Noon . We will accept part time and/or any Mondays that you can give. If interested, please contact The Cresswell's, 585-322-2636, or see Juliette Rhodes-Cummings, Ivena Grantham, or Cheryl Lattimore. Young Adult Ministry: All those that are between the ages 18-24 yrs old , please text #MOYAM to 585.709-2536, Pastor P. Please include your name and age. Dance Ministry under the direction of Teshia McCloud is looking for all those that want to be apart this powerful and spiritual ministry. The purpose is for spiritual growth; to gain crucial knowledge which will assist with life situations; and to enjoy fellowship with other high school seniors.
